Acronis True Image 2020 trying to recover a previously created tib file on Windows 10 computer (revised).
My problem is that this backup procedure no longer exists on my menu of ATI 2020 backups which prevents me from my usual way of recovery.
The original backup was a single partition "C" from an option of 3 petitions ("C", "M", "N") which resided on DISK 1.
This is a dual-boot system and I use EasyBCD to configure boot process.
I have tried to create/run rescue ISO files for simple and advanced recovery and neither will load on my computer ( error messages).
I created ISOs from the ATI 2020 tools. Neither the simple or advanced rescue ISO's would load ( computer errors). I tested this process on another computer (using its ATI to create rescue ISO) and had same problem they would not load simple or advance rescue ISOs (froze computer).
I am able to use the 2020 AcronisTrueImage2020_38600.iso to gain access to the restoration process but am unsure as to how to configure the rescue.
What I'm running into is the recovery wants to create two petitions petition 1-1 and petition "C" and I'm not exactly sure how to set each one up for recovery.
A guess is I should set petition 1-1 for the drive that represents the parameters for my original DISK 1 backup and set petition "C" to the drive that represents the drive actual "C" disk parameters which in my case a Acronis rescue disk identifies as drive "D".
I tried doing this without following through on the actual backup and what it looked like a Acronis wants to do is to delete all 3 petition ("C", "M", "N") and then reinstall from the tib. But there is only one actual backup on the tib "C". So I'm not sure how to proceed.
I hope this description makes sense.
I have spent many hours trying to get this squared away with no luck.
Any and all help greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Steve,
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
When I say dual-boot I mean I have two copies of Windows 10 installed on two separate partitions. The petition I'm trying to recover is my everyday working Windows. The second Windows is where I test programs and other stuff as needed.
Checking file install dates I was mistaken in that the tib was created using ATI 2019. The reason I thought it might've been ATI 2020 is because I upgraded fro 2019 to 2020 around the same time this tib was created. I was under the belief that because I had upgraded from ATI 2019 that ATI 2020 continued to make backups using tib extension as opposed to tibx.
The backup I'm trying to restore was created on the same computer with same partition structure as now.
This is the first time in a number of years that I've had to use recovery disk backup so I've been rusty and I do understand Acronis recovery changes drive letters and selections must be made on specific partition/drive parameters.
I tried attaching a series of screenshots showing tentatively what I think I should do to recover the tib but forum would not accept my pictures.
Any input is appreciated.
Thank you.

I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate posting. I posted or thought I posted this several hours ago and it has not made its way to the forums. I'm new here so I don't know if all posts are moderated and therefore there is a time delay or if something went wrong with my initial attempt to reply.
But I really am stuck and want to move on with resurrecting the .TIB file.
Also I am unsure as to why I could not upload some pictures (forum file upload capability??).

Becoming somewhat frustrated with trying to use this form to solve problem.
Real-time forum response would be a real help.
Also have tried upload 80K jpg picture files to explain my situation with no luck "This file could not be uploaded".
Have tried uploading simple text file with same "This file could not be uploaded".
I will try to simply state my problem.
I have a .TIB file that was created with ATI 2019. It is not listed in my current ATI 2020 Backups directory and this I must resort to using a iso boot rescue procedure.
This backup was partition "C" of DISK0 which had 3 partitions available for backup, "C", "M", "N".
Using the rescue iso procedure I select drive/partition recovery.
I'm now presented with "Settings of Partition 1-1 Disk 1 Select items to recover"
I check the box "Disk 1"
Which then checks the items "NTFS (Unlabeled) (C), MBR and Track 0, NTFS (System Reserved)" all of which corresponds to the drive parameters of the original "C" Drive.
I now have to choose "New location".
Because I have multiple hard drives installed on my computer I have a number of different drive locations. The location that corresponds to where the original "C" is located is referred to as Disk 4 NTFS (System Reserved) (C) Pri,Act 1GB 494.2 MB.
This would actually correspond to the original ATI 2019 backup menu option Disk 0 backup option containing the original 3 partitions "C", "M", "N".
This pseudo Disk4 contains the a Acronis rescue pseudo-drive letters "D" = original "C" partition parameters, "I" = original "M" partition parameters and "J" = original "N" partition parameters.
After some trial and error the selection that seemed to make most sense was to select "NTFS (System Reserved) (C) for Partition 1-1 location.
Rescue then allows me to move on to the next step "Settings of Partition C" here I select "NTFS (Unlabeled) (D) the partition parameters correspond to the original "C" partition.
The next step is to "Select target disk for MBR recovery".
Here I select Disk4 which is the disk drive that contained the original "C" partition.
The next step is "Finish".
There are five steps here.
1. Recovering MBR Hard disk 4
2. Deleting partition Heart disk: 4 Drive letter C File system NTFS Volume label: System Reserved size: 1 GB
3. Copying and merging partitions Hard Disk 1, 4 -> 4 Drive letter: -, C: -> C: File system: NTFS, None -> NTFS Volume label: System Reserved Size: 1 GB, 1 GB -> 1GB
4. Deleting partition Hard disk: 4 Drive letter:D File system: NTFS Volume label: Size: 398.1 GB
5. Copying and merging partitions Hard disk: 1, 4 ->4 Drive letter: C:, D: _> D File system: NTFS, None -> NTFS Volume label: Size: 398.1 GB, 398.1 GB -> 398.1 GB
And then I have the option to select Proceed which I have not done because I want to make sure what I think needs to be done is what needs to be done.
Just looking for assurance this would be correct procedure.
Wish I could've uploaded photos depicting the above but unfortunately every time I tried to attach file all I received was "This file could not be uploaded".
Thank you for any and all help.

If you have two copies of Windows 10 in your dual-boot scenario, then you can install Acronis on both copies using the same license serial number as both will be activated for the same hardware signature.
This should allow you to boot into the second OS and restore the backup image to the partition for the first OS. I have used this approach myself many times when I used dual-boot in the same way.
Any backups created originally on ATI 2019 (or earlier) and continued in ATI 2020 (or later) will stay with using .TIB files for disk backups, so that is normal and correct.
Uploading files /images to the forum has been problematic for some long time now and Acronis doesn't seem inclined to fix the issue! You may be able to use the IMCE File Manager icon in the tool bar to embed images with the text you post. The icon is to the left of YouTube and the right of the horseshoe icon.

Steve,
I am at a loss as to how to access the previously created .TIB that is not listed as a backups in the ATI 2020 list of backups. There is no entry that references this previous backup. In other words the .TIB that I want to reinstall is an orphan with respect to the list of Acronis backups.
Not sure if I'm explaining this properly but I see no provision in the ATI list of options that allows me to reinstall a backup that does not exist in its menu of backups. Please advise if I'm in error or simply ignorant of how to do this.
If I cannot access this "orphan" .TIB to restore as you have described will the procedure using the recovery iso that I previously outlined work?
Thank you for your help (and patience.... ;-) ).

Look to the right of the normal + Add Backup option in the main GUI and hover your mouse over the caret 'v' found there which will reveal the option to 'Add existing backup' to allow you to navigate to the place where your .TIB file is stored and select it thus adding it back into the GUI using the file name for the task.
Once the backup is added back you can then rename it if needed, reconfigure it, and should be able to open the Recovery panel to see the archive contents.

Steve,
Thank you for your info and taking time to help.
Was having issues with computer and had urgent need to perform this backup but was able to resolve issues so installing .TIB has become less urgent.
When I have opportunity will try to install .TIB using your method.
Would still like to know if what I had outlined earlier using recovery disk iso would work just to have in my "back pocket" for emergency situations when all else fails.
Thank you again for taking time and helping.
