Apply Universal Restore - Cannot find operation system.

Thread needs solution

Cannot find Operating System on the current machine..

Select button option is greyed out.

I'm trying to restore a WinNT4 system on a Virtual Oracle box machine.

When and where am I supposed to select my .tibx file to restore?

There is no option on the main screen menu Acrobis screen for utility to create new drive.

Paul, welcome to these public User Forums.

What version of Acronis True Image and AUR are you using here?

The last version of ATI that supported Windows NT 4.0 Workstation SP 6 was ATI 9.1 Home edition.  All later versions did not support NT.

If you are recovering from a .tibx file, that suggests you have ATI 2020 which only supports back to Windows 7 SP1 with no support for any earlier OS versions including Vista, XP, 2000 etc.

Acronis Universal Backup

version is 12.5.16180

Acronis Universal Backup

version is 12.5.16180

Do you kbow if version which supports NT4  32 bits is still available? Or any other options?

Is this the reason why I am seeing "No Operating System" message?

Paul, sorry but there are no current versions of either Acronis True Image or Universal Restore that support systems as old as Windows NT 4.

Do you have a working physical PC running Windows NT 4?

I can only suggest doing a search in Google for such as convert nt4 to oracle virtualbox

Doing the above search gives hits from other users doing this type of migration.
