Default Boot Option in .ISO Bootable media.
I want to change the DEFAULT boot option on ATI 2020 bootable .ISO to "Acronis True Image" from "Start Windows"
How can I do this? I know how to mod files and replace them in to an ISO already.

Like Steve I have not used the Linux media in a long time. I suspect that by now the ISO uses Grub2 as the boot loader. With that in mind I am providing a link below that will provide some insight for you in modifying Grub2. If you find that the boot loader still is using Grub then doing a search for that on the net will get you details on modification.

I was hoping to change the original ATI .ISO. Can you contact the people who create it and ask them how it can be changed?Steve Smith wrote:Daniel, welcome to these public User Forums.
Sorry but I cannot help with your question as only the Linux version of the Acronis Rescue Media gives such options and I simply do not use the Linux version.
If you create the 'Simple' Windows PE version of the Acronis Rescue Media as either an ISO file or on a USB stick / DVD, then this will automatically boot direct into the Acronis application.
See KB 63226: Acronis True Image 2020: how to create bootable media and KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media

Daniel, sorry but I and the other MVP's here are only users with no direct contacts with Acronis developers or other employees.
Acronis started to move away from using the Linux version of rescue media (provided as .ISO) back with ATI 2018 in favour of using Windows PE. The ISO / Linux media has always worked in the way you see and I doubt that they would consider changing this or advising you how to make such a change.
You would need to raise your request directly with Acronis by opening a Support Case with them as per How to get support?
