ISSUE - Dashboard may not show correct information or backup state information may "hang"
Hi there I would like to let you know that I have opened ticket
[04280483] mms_mini.exe services not updating the backups in dashboard
to investigate the issue that backup and computer information may not get updated properly in dashboard for a longer time now. This may be related to the problem that you do not get email notification.
But that is not answered yet.
For me and other customers this issue is occuring all way even on systems where there was not previous install of ATIH.
It appears like something is going havoc with the mms_mini service and also I've noticed that if you delete the mms files in programdata and restart the service, ofc new files will be generated but in all the files structure look differently.
older installations / upgraded installations:

after stopping service, deleting files and starting service.

if anyone of you check your dashboard do you see correct information that meets with the information in the activity tab of the respective device?
Is the last and next scheduled backup showing correctly local and in dashboard?
Do you see a percentage of a "running" backup in dashboard, that is long finished?

Hi Karl, my own Dashboard shows incorrect information for the next backup date which is shown as months before the last backup date!

Hi Steve some of mine too, thanks for adding your screenshot.
Due my own investigation I can confirm that this problem is technically related to the missing email notifactions.
When you delete the mms_data_path_marker and restart the mms_miniservice both will work, there will be still issues in the dashboard but it helps a bit foward.
Also you will get notifcations at least for the first job after restarting mms_mini.
collected screen and logs now. If you want to have the creds for the FTP let me know, it would be great if you can file your pics and systemreports, too.

Hi there this problem is still unfixed in the current ATIH 2020 release. I see this on numerous accounts an I am still in touch with the support, Ekaterina / Renata
The ticket number is 04280483 . The flipside is that from the current state, after months of investigation it seems it was introduced in 2019 / 2020, 2018 is fine but 2018 is not supported anymore.
I hope we can find a mode to work together to fix this for anyone.
A possible root cause seems to be an upgrade and migration of the dashboard internally at Acronis that seems to bug mms mini service. The only current workaround to fix this:
delete all the bugged computer account in the dashboard
delete mmsmini database on the affected client, run ATIH cleanup tool, reinstall ATIH 2020, which is not feasible. I have around 4 affected accounts still with at least 5 clients in.

Hi there after lots of work this issue is finally in an undergoing fix. Will post again when I can confirm this to be fixed.
