New PC , installed ATI-2020 from profile, can open .tibx but get "file access error" when moving files

Thread needs solution

Due to our recent encounter with Hurricane Irena here in Puerto Rico my old Dell PC running ATI-2020 on Win-10 got fried and I had to purchase a new one, an HP that came with Win-11.

I downloaded/installed previously purchased and registered ATI-2020 software from my ATI account on the HP but it does not recognize my ATI Registration Key when requested. Hence all my programs, data, utilities, configurations are on my .tibx files in an external drive are useless.

The ATI-2020 software that I downloaded from my ATI account says it’s a trial version and although I can open the .tibx files with it when I try to move them to my new PC, I get a file access error!

Can you please help so that I can get back to some semblance of normal?

Astur, sorry to hear of your issues following on from your encounter with Hurricane Irena!

Your ATI 2020 registration key / serial should be listed in your Acronis Account by clicking on Workstation where the number of licenses is shown.

Trial versions of Acronis have various limitations which are not present in the full versions.
