New Update notice today, problems installing

Thread solved

We have a multi-license, and it is installed on 2 PC's.

Win 10 PC using Norton Lifelock 360.

  • Get notice of a new release when booting system.
  • Get popup and select DOWNLOAD.
  • Get dialog that there is no Internet Connection?
  • Disable the Norton Firewall and try again.
  • Works.

Win 11 PC using McAfee LiveSafe.

  • Same notice update available, same error that there is no Internet.
  • Disable McAfee Firewall and it still fails.
  • Disable McAfee Real-Time A/V scanning, still fails.

Win 10 PC installed but I can't locate the file it d/l'ed? Did find an 'update utility from today but it doesn't run for me?

I'm on the Win 11 PC of course. README doesn't support Win11???

Tried to D/L update from my Account (and my wife's who is the registered owner) but there is no link for products or for an update? None posted here as well?

Any ideas how to handle this?

Irv, take a look at the Acronis Product Updates webpage where you will see download links for all recent versions of Acronis applications, including one from yesterday for ATI 2020 #38600 with the following description (from the release notes).

Acronis True Image 2020 Update 5 for Windows

What's new

  • Critical support for improved security protocols for secure communication with data centers.
  • Bug fixes and other improvements.

Note: the download is 620MB in size.

Thanks Steve, got it. No D/L problem either?

The OS list does NOT include Windows 11 by the way ( I assume it was not tested as it also says it might work on other Windows versions?). Did update though. Did not try a backup but it does read the old backups fine it seems?

Not sure why the error we got though about no Internet?

Irv, I had the same issue with a VM running Win 10 and ATI 2020 - no internet connection when trying to update from within the app but installed the update just fine when downloaded from the link above.

Only ACPHO is officially supported by Acronis for Win 11 but earlier versions do work just fine - I have tested ATI 2019 on a Win 11 VM including doing both Backup & Recovery with no issues!

I had same issue on one of my 3 machines/installs... even though the machine was clearly connected and I was able browse internet etc just fine while TI was reporting no internet.
I was patching at time.. so just waited till that done.. and after its reboot to finish MS patching... TI was able to connect/download from the app..
So no idea what caused it
