True Image 2020 Backup to Flash drive

Thread needs solution

When I use TI 2020 to do a single full custom file backup from a Windows 11 PC to a flash drive, the validated outcome shows about 15 different numbered versions, with the cumulative GB of all these versions adding up to about the same GB as a full backup to an external hard drive for the same computer at the same time. Doing the same backup to an external hard drive, I get one .tib file for the entire backup. This is not a volume issue, since the specific backup is roughly 50 GB and the flash drive is 128 GB. Also, this happens on two computers, so neither the computer nor the hard drive nor the particular flash drives used (different on each PC) is the likely cause of a problem.

Two questions: (1) Is a single backup to a flash drive supposed to be divided into multiple parcels as versions, and (2) if not, what could be causing the observed outcome?

Tommy, the issue here is in the limitations of the flash drive file system in use, i.e. probably FAT32 which has a maximum file size of 4GB, whereas a standard external USB drive will use NTFS or exFAT which can have very much larger file sizes.
