unable to revover the system
I have/(had) Ubuntu 16.04 and Windows 10 on my HP ProBook 440 G4. I wanted to uninstall the Ubuntu following the instructions where they say you should just delete the Ubuntu partitions from the device manager, but it went wrong: when I wanted to delete the Ubuntu swap partition, it got the message that he disk is in use and I didn't proceed. Then tried to change the boot going to command line via restart+holding shift and then stuck into grub rescue with the error: unknown file system. Now, when I boot I get into grub.
I tried to recover the system using acronis survival kit. First, I tried to recover only the partitions where windows was (only the NTFS without MBR, see the screenshot 1). But after the recovery, it still boots into grub. Then I tried to recover everything I had before. But I the recovery manager could not do it: my SSD ( Disk 1) is though listed but I cannot select for the recovery (screenshot 2). Maybe you have any ideas on how to restore the system? Would it be a good idea to reformat the SSD and then try recovery? Actually, I intended to migrate the system to another SSD, so maybe it is better to restore the system directly to the new SSD?
I appreciate your help!

Eventually, I could restore my Windows system with Acronis. But I am very curious... Here is the whole chain (also repeating from the first post):
- tried to restore only the NTFS partitions > done > when booting get again into grub
- boot again into acronis and tried to restore everything > cannot choose the needed drive for restore > went few steps back, tried again and was able to choose the drive (I think in the first step I pressed the button next before the proccess of what to restore was accomplished)
- after the restore was done I could boot directly into windows (without Ubuntu loader) and Ubuntu seems to be gone. In the screenshot you may see the partitions with ~13.5 and ~8 GB which were previously used for Ubuntu
That's why I am very curious because I choosed the restore of the whole system (see the screenshot from the first post)!
Eventually, I got what I wanted, but I'd like to understand what happened and why, and if there are any left-over from the other OS. The last question I will also ask in the Ubuntu forum, so I'd like to have the answer at least about the first question. Thank you!

I am going to migrate the Windows to another SSD and format the old one. Could there be any issues because of the last problems?

Walter, are you able to boot using the Windows Boot Manager now and not using Grub, as if you are then you should be able to just reformat the Linux partitions to NTFS.
