Acronis Backups fail after installing a new router

Thread solved

After installing a new router, my Acronis 2021 backups are failing with this error message

"The backup cannot be started. Ensure that folder '\\NAS_01.HOME\e6430\' is accessable.
Edit connection settings. Check for a solution."

When editing connection settings, the additional message occurs

"Authentication settings
Path \\nas_01.home\e6430

User name
_______

Password
____________"

Followed by

"Result: Connection failed

The network share is inaccessable.

More information about this error and solutions may be available online in the Acronis Knowledge Base.

I am certain that the network share "\\nas_01.home\e6430" is invalid;
It should be "\\nas_01\e6430" -- the same as what shows in Windows Explorer for that folder on my NAS

I could edit the .TIS file to have "\\nas_01\e6430" instead of "nas_01.home\e6430"

Would that be the correct solution?

What must I do to allow saving the edited .TIS file? --

Disabling Active protection tried, but still could not save edited .TIS file ...

Also unable to change Acronis folders from Read Only ... even though I have administrator rights and I opened Windows Explorer as Administrator

Also modified File and folder properties (scripts folder) to allow full control to Administrators and users

Still could not save my change nor replace the .TIS file

Any suggestions?

Martin, with ATI 2021 turning off AAP still does not allow .tib.tis files to be edited / saved because Acronis still keep some part of AAP active!

Modifying the .tib.tis file may not resolve this issue given the change in network hardware due to other places where ATI stores information about connections.

What you can do is to use the Delete option for the task, electing to only remove the settings for the task.

Next, use the 'Add existing backup' option to select the most recent file for the task from the new network location, providing any credentials that are needed, then use the 'Reconfigure' button to set the various task options along with setting the Source.

See Acronis True Image 2016: Troubleshooting Issues Related To NAS Credentials | Knowledge Base for details of where connections / credentials data is stored.

Yes, I had already checked that ... and the registry had credentials for both \\nas_01\e6430 and nas_01.home\e6430

Yes, Delete and add back worked

It took less than 5 minutes to backup 4GBy

THANKS!

Additional information

The delete settings followed by add existing backup worked as expected and backup now also worked

However, the new backup settings were quite different from the original settings

The next backup would have taken place at the same time of day as the reconfiguration instead of at midnight

Automatic cleanup was wrong

Performance was set to low instead of normal

Removing a backup task and then adding it back requires reconfiguration of the task settings.  This is expected behavior.
