Deleting files from archive

Thread needs solution

Hi

I started to play with the archive file option which is nice as they are not files that are going to change over time. But I don't find a way to delete a specific files from an archive. I can only delete the whole archive.

Am I missing something?

Hugo, from reading in the ATI 2021 User Guide about Archiving it states:

Accessing your archived files

When your files are successfully archived, you can access them in:

  • File Explorer

Start File Explorer, and then click Acronis Drive under Favorites.

You can work with the files in read-only mode. To modify a file, copy it to a different folder, first.

  • Acronis Cloud (applicable to the cloud archive only)

Open the Acronis Cloud web application in one of the following ways:

This says to me that you cannot delete individual files from your archive, as you have found.

As much as I love this product, it still bugs me why some feature are that weird. If you ever run out of space and want to remove just a single text file, you need to trash everything. Just does not make any sense

Thanks :)

Hello Hugo,

thank you for your posting! We indeed have an existing feature request to bring back the feature of mounting archives in Read\Write mode (added your vote for this request), however the chances of implementing this feature are very low due to technical restrictions.
