dELETING OLD BACKUPS

Thread needs solution

I HAVE SEVERAL OLD BACKUPS ON MY DESTINATION DRIVE i NO LONGER WANT AND THEY ARE JUST TAKING UP SPACE. HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM? IF I TRY TO DELETE THEM I GET A MESSAGE THAT SAYS I NEED PERMISSIONS TO DO THIS. I CANNOT FINGD ANY WHERE WITHIN THE SOFTWARE TO DO IT. I NEED SPACE FOR MY CURRENT BACKUPS.

If the tasks that created those unwanted backup files are still shown in the main ATI GUI, then assuming that you have ATI 2019, 2020 or 2021, you can use the Clean up versions tool which is available for each task by clicking on the caret (v) to the right of the task name.

The reason why you cannot delete the files in Explorer is because Acronis Active Protection is turned on - this needs to be turned off to delete Acronis files otherwise.
