First Backup
Thread needs solution
After a successful install of TI 2021 I created my first backup image. That process went very smoothly and is outlined below:
- Clicked on Source to select the Windows disk
- Clicked on down arrow to right of backup name and selected Rename
- Gave backup a unique name
- Clicked on Location to change from Cloud to a local internal drive/folder
- Clicked on Options
- Under Schedule selected Upon Event - User logon
- Clicked on Backup scheme - set scheme to Custom
- Under Backup method change from Incremental to Differential
- Click on Turn on automatic cleanup
- Tick Create a full version after every 6 differential versions
- Tick Store no more than and change default number to 3 recent version chains
- Tick Do not delete the first version of the backup
- Clicked on Ok button to finalize options selections
- Click on Back up now button on main GUI screen to create first backup file
This task is a backup of the Windows System disk all partitions which is an SATA III SSD disk. The Target Location for the backup file is an NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD installed on an adapter card. Total data on disk is 29.9GB, backup file size with Normal compression is 12.5GB and backup completed in 2 min. 46 secs.
