Problem with naming new backup task

Thread needs solution

This is a minor annoyance, but I'm not sure it's been reported before.

When creating a new backup task, the default is Entire PC. The backup name is filled in with the name of the computer and the focus is set to the name so it can be easily changed.

If you do not change the name, leaving it as the PC name, and then change the source from Entire PC to Disks and Partitions, then the name is changed to the name of the disk. But if you first change the name to something different, then changing the backup type does not change the name.

Sounds like another example of unwanted coded behaviour Bruno and needs to be reported and fixed so that the behaviour is consistent for all users regardless of the approach taken.

Yeah, I noticed that too.  Seems to me that when you purposely type in a specific backup name that name should display as the source, why it does not is probably due to what Steve suggests but I find it distracting and non-intuitive.

Hello Everyone,

clarified with the RnD - according to my colleagues the behavior is expected = the user's preference has more weight
