How do I fix this error as I am running TI 2014 on a brand new install on a Windows 8.1 machine. I purchased this laptop - HP j092 on Saturday.

I wonder if the problem resides in the fact that this machines 5 GPT volumes.

Believe I would first try an uninstall, reinstall. If that fails, customer support would be getting involved.

I am confronted with same error after installing AC2013 over AC2010. Only restores seem to work currently.

I also have a secure zone (created AC2010) which I feel a little skeptical / concerned of leaving prior to AC2013 reinstall. The snapAPI option did nothing pprior to this.

Has anyone actually found that an uninstall/reinstall achieves desired solution?

The KB article you linked doesn't say that it applies to 2014. I found this, maybe it will help
