2010 Updated to 7160 and Still Fails - Secure Zone Locked by Another Application

Thread needs solution

Failed to access Acronis Secure Zone. Possible reason: Acronis Secure Zone is locked by another application.

More information can be found at: http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/
Event code: 0x000B00C4

This was an error in the program it said. I successfully installed the 7160 build and confirmed it but I still cannot perform the image backup to the secure zone. I even increased the size of the secure zone. Any help please.
Thank You,
Frank

Did you update form another version or jsut another build within the same version?

Yu should probably remove the ASZ. Then recreate one if you still want to ave one. Aside from the current problem, advizable to backup to a physically separate hdisk. Then, if your hdisk goes bad. you'll still be able to access your backups.

Thanks Scott,
I guess I did a build within the same version. I had 2010 True Image and just ran the build install. I have two hard drives in the computer and want to have an image so if one fails I can just swap the cable and I am up and running again. I have backups to a NAS drive but then if the hard drive fails I have to reinstall all of the software and reconfigure the settings of everything. You think I should wipe the ASZ and recreate it? The build said it would fix the problem.
Thanks,
FB

"jsut swap the cable and be up and running" You won't be able to do that-- ot quite anyway. You can't have two hdisks in a pc with a windows boot/system disk partiton. If there are two such partitions, windows will mark one of them not a system paritition, so it wont' boot. If you have two such disk connected to a machine, you must remove one of them before you try to boot from either or one ofhtem will become not bootable. So if you clone, you must remove one of them before you boot up with either of them.

If a harddrive fails you won't have to reinstall and recnfigure all yur settings if you have a backup and an ati bootcd. You can jsut restore the backup to a working harddisk (or use a clone instead).
