2011 Home Nonstop Backup Paused

Nonstop backup goes to the paused state and won't restart.

I created a clean backup disk and it ran fin for about 10 days and went into pause several days ago. At least 500 gig free.

I've reviewed the archives and this seems to have been a persistent problem going back to 2011. I've reviewed the hotfixes and restarting services, all to no avail.

I have the latest build, too.

I'd be encouraged to update to 2014, but it seems this problem transcends newer generations.

Has there been any fix? Ever.
