2011 Won't Install

Thread needs solution

I was using ATI2010 fine until about a week ago and then I started to get this message ( Attachment) and the backups were getting errors. Well i uninstalled 2010 with the uninstall tool. I bought and installed ATI2011 and got the same error right away. I ran chkdsk, sfc utility and WD Data Life Guard and the drives all checked out fine and windows files were fine. I uninstalled 2011 with the uninstall tool for it. I also down loaded the true image home cleanup tool and associated programs and ran them then reinstalled 2011 w/latest build. Meanwhile i started a support ticket. This is what they proposed, "I would recommend you to copy the backup archive to internal hard drive and verify it from there. If the issue is not reproduced then try to change connection to your external hard drive. If the issue still persists update SnapAPI drivers using the following

Try to update to the latest build of the product down loadling from the link mentioned below:

Copying my backups to an internal drive does me no good I can't install ATI2011. The update he refers to is for Plus Pack, does me no good. I tried the SnapAPI drivers and after that ATI2011 would not even start. I cleaned it all out again but now i get an error telling me ,"The installation was interrupted and try again". 2011 will not install at all. Is there any hope here? I see lots of people in the knowledge data base with the same type of problem.

Hello Dan,

Thank you very much for your post. I will definitely assist you with this issue.

Please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience. The reason you cannot install the program now most likely has to do with the fact that you were given the wrong SnapApi version. That article does not apply to Acronis True Image 2011 Home.

I am also extremely sorry about the download link, I will correct this error via a private message in a few minutes.

We can proceed to resolve this issue the following way:

1. Please reply to my private message with this report, it will tell us if there are any errors on your hard drive because we need to make sure if the backup errors are caused by hard drive errors or our low-level SnapApi drivers.

2. When installing the program from the new download link that I will send you, please collect this installation log and it will tell us why the program fails to install, so that we can correct the issue.

3. After checking the reports and installing the program, we will then proceed with troubleshooting backup errors and I will supply you with a SnapApi update once we are 100% certain that this is the cause.

Please let me know if you have additional questions and I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.
