2014 bootable disc garbled display

Thread needs solution

I create a bootable acronis true image 2014 disc, Iam trying to image a Dell XPS14 ultrabook running windows 8. I can get it to boot into the acronis menu. Select the option 1 on the screen, it proceeds to boot like its going into acronis then the display is completely un-readable, it displays nothing but garabage. It seems there is a video/driver/display issue? Anyone else encounter this?

I have not but if your display is set to a very high resolution I can understand why. I run 1600 x 1200 and screens arre very grainy but readable.

How would the resolution set inside the OS affect the acronis bootable environment?

It would not. It iis the native resulution of your monitor I am talking about.

Is there a work around? i seen others have this issue with acronis 11 but nothing listed for acronis 2014. Following what is listed for a fix in previous versions does not seem to work with 2014 at all

Surely i can't be the only one who has experienced this......

Access the onscreen menu on your monitor and set resolution to one of those listed in the kb. Should work.

This is a laptop, so there isn't any on screen adjustments that i know of.....

Sorry, I missed that. You have hardware compatibilitty issue between yuor graghics and the bootable media. You will need to create a BartPE disk as a workaround. I recommend the Mustang.version found in the Stickey of this Forum.
