2014 Progress on CBACK-8 (Slow/Unresponsive Suspending online backup)

Thread needs solution

Has there been any progress on working on this issue? It certainly doesn't seem to have been addressed in ATI 2013 and I see references to it being an "official" issue as far back as 2009. (And references to it being "official" being used to placate users as recently as 2013.)

This is fundamentally broken. I am at an airport, I have bought a limited data plan so I can work, and I shouldn't have to go into process explorer and kill all acronis processes just to stop it from eating up all my expensive data.

Any REAL progress here?

There will always be some delay as like many programs that transmit bulk data there is a buffer that needs to be emptied and correctly closed. With the internet there is also the added problem that retries might need to be made to correct data corruption, this also would extend the suspending time.

Having said that, I have found that at times the cloud servers are a little slow to respond, possibly due to the datacentre, or being overloaded.
