Access to log

Thread needs solution

Previous versions of True Image had access to log files available in settings for the backup or in help. How do I access these log files in 2015 version?

I had 2015 installed for several days and could not find the log. I posted the same question in the forum but no takers. I went back to 2014 for several reasons, the log being one of them. Maybe it's there somewhere but I couldn't find it.

In 2015, the logs folder is
C:\PROGRAMDATA\ACRONIS\TRUEIMAGEHOME\LOGS

The best method of viewing the 2015 logs is to use email notification as part of the backup script.
The email wll provide any errors or much of the data needed to know what the usual happended during the backup.

Thank you for that information. I have located the log information that I was looking for. I wish that they would restore the "View Log" option in the console somewhere. It was much easier to use, especially for those PCs that are not always connected to the internet.

Oh that makes perfect sense - I can see at a glance if a scheduled backup has failed or not.

Errr NO

If this is Acronis's idea of a joke they obviously need to do standup - if they think this is the preferred method of checking task they have literally got to be joking.... and I'm sorry Grover but if you think that this is an acceptable method you should be working for Acronis as a spin doctor.

Dave,
Perhaps you have not heard the expression "Don't shoot the messenger just because you don't like the message."

Would you have been happier if I had not responded?

I provided an answer on how best to utilize the existing option. If I were designing the product, I would have better log information but that does not change the current situation.

I am not going to waste my time providing my opinion every time I post a response--which Acronis rarely reads anyway.
I spend too much time on the forum as it is.

Acronis 2015 backups my files at the specified time. After doing that Acronis is programmed to "copy *.tib x:\*.*" but never do that.

No error message is displayed. The "after"-task is ignored.

Help?

More details needed about what/how you are doing the copy.
Using Robocopy inside a Pre/Post Post command will copy the newly completed backup from one folder into another.
