I am trying to run Acronic System Report from a DVD with Acronis Rescue Media.
I get no report but the following weeoe message:

/bin/ipwatchd: error while loading shared libraries:libcap.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

I have created two Rescue DVD. SAme problem on both.

What to do?

Unfortunately this error doesn't point us onto the exact cause, and we need the exact step-by-step sequence of steps you've performed before encountered this error. I would also recommend you to try the following workaround: download an bootable media from your account, burn it onto the CD, and check whether the problem remains.

I to encountered the IPWATCHD error trying to clone a internal HD to a USB HD. Starting the operation apparently then abruptly switched back to start up option for starting Windows 7. Tried this about 1/2 dozen times to no avail.
