Acronis 2012 build 7133 Emergency disk process delay on Dell Vostro 400
I can sucessfully boot and use the Acronis 2010 true image on a Vostro 400 without any apparent problem. However, when Acronis 2012 build7133 is booted it works fine until a process is initiated then there is a very long delay (several minutes -software appears to be hung). For example I can select restore and the next screen responds immediatly. I can select the source without delay but when browse is selected it takes several minutes until the device contents is displayed. Also if I select cancle it also takes several minutes to return to the prior screen. I have updated to the latest BIOS for the Vostro (1015) and still observe the same problem.

I've experienced some delays when moving from the screens you are referring to in your post. The delays I see are not as pronounced as on your system. On my system the delays are related having multiple hard disks (internal and external) connected to my system.
The Linux recovery environment sometimes seems to have these delay issues when it tries to access the drives, and respond to requests (cancel - for example), but seems to work okay for me even with the delays.
I've seen this behavior when waiting for the Linux recovery environment to spin up a "sleeping" drive, as well as when accessing network backup storage locations, and enumerating the connected drives (both connected and empty - in the case of removable media slots). I don't think there is a "fix", but disconnecting any "un-needed" devices seems to help in my case.
I had one system that had a USB connected multifunction printer connected, that had internal card readers in it, and disconnecting it solved the delays in that case.
