Acronis 2013 on Dell Inspiron One 2330 with 32 GB SSD Caching

Thread needs solution

Dell tells me, that I should not use Acronis 2013, because it cannot handle the switch off of the SSD caching INTEL driver before backing up the HDD Partition Images and switch on afterwards.
Therefore I would risk that if I have to restore the Partitions from the backup, that the content would not reflect the correct state and boot from the recovered system partitions would potentially not work.

I would have to manually disable caching and restore it after backup and validation is completed.
This is not practical.

Since I use Acronis since many years I do not want to drop it, what can I do?

 Hello Reinhard,

Thank you for taking time to contact us.

You are correct, you should switch the SSD caching driver off prior to the backup operation.

Please try to find out the commands that will allow to switch the driver off and to launch it back, after that we will be able to use them as a pre/post commands.

Thank you.
