I've only seen this when the external media does not have enough free space to write the backup image.

Hello all,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

There can be several reason of the encountered issue:

1) The disk's speed is slower than the speed at which product tries to write to it. You can reduce  the HDD writing speed in Default backup options, Tools -> Options.

2) A broken USB cable or USB port can cause the issue. Try to use another port or cable.

3) The issue may be caused by file system errors. Could you please check the disks for errors?

- Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)
- Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r"
where DISK is the partition letter you need to check. Please note, that
checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.
4) Switch your external hard drive to "Optimize for performance" mode:
- Right-click the My Computer icon and then click Manage.
- Click the Device Manager icon.
- Click the plus (+) sign next to Disk Drives.
- Double-click the USB hard drive string.
- Click the Policies button then click Optimize for performance and mark all checkboxes.

Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.
