Acronis Inspiron Laptop

Thread needs solution

This is a seemingly simple question that i have yet to find an answer...can any version of Acronis properly restore an image backup to a Dell Inspiron laptop? Previously, i tried on Acronis 2011 and the machine would not boot. Some forum talks says it's because of Dell hidden partition. I am really flippin pissed with Dell and one second away from returning this junk. So again my question is can Acronis successful restore an Acronis image to Dell Inpiron laptop?

jobwelldone,

Several users have had issue with hidden partitions present on Dell Machines. Very often the problem partition is optional for booting. Make sure you have recovery DVD's, or even better, the Windows reinstallation DVDs available. After that, you can restore your computer without the EISA partition.

Yes, ATI can backup and restore to Dell Inspiron, XPS, and many other laptops and desktops, even with hidden partitions. Just be sure that you create a full disk mode backup that includes all partitions.

I've restored many times to Dells with hidden partitions.
