Restart the 2014 installation program. Once started, it will offer a REPAIR option which will overwrite the current Acronis files with new files.

If that does not solve the issue, then download the 2014 cleanlup utility (signature link 4 below) and run it and then do a completely new install.

Acronis 2014 was successfully installed on 12/19/2014.

I used weekly backups until February 2013.

On 2/18/2014 I began using daily incremental backups.

Incremental backups ran without fail up to and including 5/13/2014.

5/14/2014 backup failed; 0xc0000005 in acronis program schedule2.exe
5/15/2014 backup normal -- succeeded
5/16/2014 backup failed; 0xc0000005 in acronis program schedule2.exe
5/17/2014 backup failed; 0xc0000005 in acronis program schedule2.exe
5/18/2014 backup failed; 0xc0000005 in acronis program schedule2.exe
5/19/2014 backup failed; 0xc0000005 in acronis program schedule2.exe

Are you suggesting that an installation that completed without error and
has executed without error until 5/13/2014 is somehow an incomplete install?

Please clarify ... Thanks ...

I think Grover is suspecting program file corruption. I would agree with that conclusion.
