Acronis shares email addresses with outside company for spam purposes

Thread needs solution

I use separate email addresses for each service / company, and I was disgusted to receive the below email on 14 November to the email address I used specifically for my Acronis account only, meaning it was definitely Acronis that shared my email address without my consent.

Surprised no-one cares about Acronis' illegal and abhorrent actions.

But Acronis don't have to reply... Terms of Use.

As it is see my post here, it may not necessarily have been Acronis that shared the email addresses, but someone that only did what I did...look them up

Which is more shocking, Acronis's blatant lack of care for security or someone taking advantage of said lack of security? Votes please.

The fact that Acronis tweeted about their "friends from Anturis" tell me that it's more likely Acronis themselves shared their customer email address list with Anturis.

Sean, not only has Acronis (or one of the mods) removed your post from being visible on the forum, but they've done the same to this post too. And they've changed your link so that it no longer points to any particular forum thread.
