Acronis slow down the USB-Stick identification
Hi,
i have installed a test version of Acronis True Image Home 2012, after that i have a problem with the identification of my 16 GB USB Stick, it takes a lot of time to detect it.
I tried out and have uninstalled the Testversion and after that the Stick runs normal
How can that be? I want test the sync tool with an USB Stick......
I hope somebody kann help me.

Hi I have the same issue but with ATIH 2010. I have a 16GB Patriot Xporter XT Rage and it takes 38 seconds to detect. I tried the USB flash drive on another Win7 x64 machine with ATIH 2010 installed, same problem. I uninstalled 2010 on the other machine and the flash drive detects instantly.
That link you provided is for 2012 only. Is there a update for 2010?
Sorry for bumping a old thread. I was brought here through Google.

This should fix ithttp://kb.acronis.com/content/26062
Although it states its for usb devices not being recognized its also helps out with usb devices taking ages to be detected, this was a known problem

I believe this KB article referes to builds of 2012 prior to 7119. The latest build (7119) contains these files versions already.
For compatibility with earlier versions, I would suggest checking with support prior to applying.
FYI: I have a 16GB Patriot stick as well, but mine worked with 6154 and 7119, Intel chipset.

Very good...
I have purchased the latest version and I have done the offline activation. So I needed to transport the activation code from one PC to another. I have this USB flash drive:
http://www.kingston.com/us/usb/personal_business#dt101g2
A Kingston DT101G2 16Gb. I have launched True Image and inserted the USB flash drive, it was recognized but if I tried to open it the system told me "insert a disk". The problem disappeared restarting my PC but launching again True Image ( also with flash drive inserted and recognized) I found myself in the same situation.
Very good...

I found this, http://kb.acronis.com/content/1515
Will that remedy my USB problem with ATIH 2010?

SnapAPI 586 referred to in KB 1515 is the correct file for Acronis True Image Home 2010. While it is the most current version of the SnapAPI module for your software, it may not correct your problems since the 16GB Patriot Xporter XT Rage flash drives seem to still be giving some of the newer builds of Acronis True Image Home problems on some systems. It should not hurt your system to install this version of SnapAPI. I use it on all my client systems that still have Acronis True Image Home 2010 installed.
