FYI:

I recommend against the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager. If activated, it modifies your system drive Master Boot Record (MBR), which can cause problems with multi-boot managers and other low-level disk utilities.

I do not see the value of the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager. The bootable Rescue Media is available when needed, so I don't see any reason to allow the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager to modify the PC's boot. Acronis Startup Recovery Manager adds complexity and risk without any real value over using the bootable Rescue Media. If activated, it modifies your system drive Master Boot Record (MBR), which can cause problems with multi-boot managers and other low-level disk utilities. I prefer just to use the bootable Rescue Media when needed, either from CD or USB flash drive.

Hi,
Thank you very much – so what would you recoment to do – I am having constant problem with the system due to instaling some prorams; so I would like to protect my PC what shal Ido to quick recower my system with the acronis 2013? How often do I need to do bootable Rescue Media to keep it up to data?

Flash drive 4gb is enough?

Not sure I understand your question. You don't ever need to run it, unless you need to do recovery/restore. You can make regular backups or full disk images from the Windows application.

I believe the Rescue Media works on even a 512 MB flash drive. It certainly works on a 1 GB.

BTW, if there are other bootable ISO utilities you wish to use, such as anti-virus or hardware diagnostics, you can create a multi-boot USB flash drive containing a bunch of them. The tool I sue for that is Xboot. On a single Xboot-created USB flash drive, I have True Image Rescue Media, a few anti-virus tools, hardware diagnostics tool, MemTest, Partition Wizard, and a few others.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your help. F11 works only if the ASZ is created. After I have made it I was able to switch F11. Then I did copy on my HDD. It is a major problem for beginners as I do not know what will happen if I do so…so… Using F11 allows me to recover all DHH with the program that I installed earlier. No more troubles.
Best regards,
