Acronis TI 2010 - backup of faulty disk

I have a disk that has gone bad.

I am attempting to backup the disk using Acronis TI 2010 (from a boot CD).

The disk has some bad sectors so when I configured the backup I selected the option to "ignore bad sectors".

The backup has successfully backed up 99% of the disk but has 23 seconds remaining at the end of the volume. There is still disk activity but the backup progress is stuck on "23 Seconds remain".

If I leave the backup, will it complete?

It is really hard to tell ... only way to find out is to let it run, overnight if possible.

When you say the disk has gone bad, is it not booting at all? If you can connect it as a second drive in another system, copy off all your data before that becomes inaccessible.
