Acronis True Image 2011 UI...

Thread needs solution

I think that this new 2011 interface is quite possibly the worst user interface I have ever seen. Please allow the option to go back to using the 'classic' interface!

You are so right! The Version 2011 interfaces are quite horrid. Some functions such as editing tasks are well hidden in tiny blue type in the corner of a screen. It took me several days to find it.
Who thought to bury access to tthe TI log files in an obscure link to the help files? If Grover had not pointed out where the logs could be found I doubt if I would have ever found them.

The most user friendly and useful GUIs were those of Version 10, that is not 2010 but the old Version10 which was released some years ago. Since then things have got worse with each new generation.
Just to give one example. The old TI log was a simple list which displayed the date and time each operation was completed, further details could be seen by selecting option buttons. I use scheduled backups so I know when they should start. The finish time was really valuable because any that took an abnormally long time could be an indication of a problem . Any backups which showed only the start time where those which had been restored which I found was vey useful information.
The 2011 logs are split up by day, week or months and I can only see the start times whereas the finish or elapsed time are more important. This and other valuable information can be gleaned by clicking on down through further other screens but why make the user do things the hard way?

The Version 2011 interface is no good how do I get the old (2010) one back?
Or just the boot media UI
I might actually install 2010 again.
Darn what a waste

Absolutely agree. It's a complete mess. Why do I need to see in the GUI, an endless accumulation of completed jobs; that's what the log is for?

To get rid of all the GUI clutter, I have to move/copy completed jobs and then delete the list from the GUI, then move/copy completed jobs back to their original location. Nonsense and a major irritant.

Come on Acronis, shake your heads and offer a redesign; please. Probably the only information we need to see in the home screen is a logically designed menu and a list of scheduled jobs.
