Hello Stephane,

thank you for your posting!

Currently there is no such opting in Acronis True Image bootable media, but I'll put your suggestion in our Customer Listening System.

Thank you!

Stephane,

If I am understanding your request correctly, the option you are requesting already exists but the restore option (bypass partition configuration) only is offered if the backup being restored is a "disk image" or "disk mode" backup as per this illustration.

http://forum.acronis.com/system/files/resize/mvp/user285/misc/disk-imag…

The option to bypass the configuration of each partitions is NOT offered if the user chose the default option of selecting each individual partition--even if the user selected all of the individual partitions.

Examine signature link #3 below and review item 2 inside that link which is illustrating a Disk Image restore. I bellive my guide will illustrate the feature you are requesting.

You can test this yourself by performing a "disk image" or "disk mode" backup per the illustrtion above.

Then you can boot from the CD and check mark the "disk" as to what is to be restored. (all partitions will become auto-checked).
The next screen will be where the target disk is selected and the need to configure each partition will be bypassed.
As you continue the simulation, you will be offered the option top
PROCEED or CANCEL.
Do be sure to chose the CANCEL option to complete the Test only simulation.

Note: it is also possible to create a disk image backup when booted from the TI CD by checkmarking the box beside the "DISK" listing.
All partitions will become auto-checked after the disk box is checked.
