Acronis True Image 2015 and Cloning Disk - how do i know if it was successful?

Thread needs solution

The Cloning process takes a long time and then it wants to shut down the PC. How do I know if the process completed successfully?

Patrick, welcome to these public User Forums.

How are you performing the clone process here?

Please see forum topic: [IMPORTANT] CLONING - How NOT to do this - which was written after dealing with many cloning issues in the forums.

Steve,

Thank you.

I am using the Acronis True Image software and choosing the Clone Disk process, then Automatic, It walks your though source disk, destination disk etc.  I did have to use the services.msc to start the process.  I just want to know how I can verify that the process actually cloned and was successful.  Is there logs or somewhere to look to tell me it was successful?

Patrick, you should not need to go anywhere near the Services control panel in order to start any ATI backup or clone process unless you have stopped the Schedul2 service from starting normally?

Are you using ATI 2015 as per this forum or a different version?

The logs are easiest found by using the MVP Log Viewer tool.

Please download the MVP Log Viewer tool (link in my signature below) and use this to review the log file for your backup operation.

If this does not help, then please provide greater detail of what exactly you are doing, and how you are doing it?
