Acronis True Image Home 10.0 Serial Key

Thread needs solution

Is there any way that I can get the serial key from the registry on the computer? I am running Windows XP and I am a little familier with regedit, but have been unable to find the key anywhere. The Acronis that I am using came as part of a package deal that a contractor put together for a test system here at Hill AFB. The computer is outdated and needs an upgrade now. The only thing keeping me from upgrading is the few software items I am unable to install on the new system mainly Acronis 10.0.

Would it be possibly to just export the Acronis registry and then copy that registry over to the new computer to get it to recognize the serial key that way?

Any help would be great!

Thanks.

If you have 10 still installed on the old machine, check its help file for the serial. It may or may not be there. i checked the 10 recovery CD and the serial is not posted on the CD so that will be no help for the serial.

Start TrueImage on the old computer. Look around very carefully--even the start program options and see if you can find an option to create an Acronis System report. If yes, create the report which will be inside a zip file. Unzip and look at the contents of the file. There is a good chance the serial number will be inside that report--if you can find it.

if your new computer is Windows 7, you should read this link below. One option might be to use only the version 10 CD on the new computer.

I am assuming that due to how the computer was created, the serial number was never registered with Acronis. If it was, then the serial is available on your own personal webpage where the serial was registered.

Only version 2010-2011-2012-2013 support Windows 7.
Only 2013 supports Windows 8.

I think the Acronis version that I have is too old to create a system report. I couldn't see how to do it nor did I find anyone that had done it before through searching online.

You can try these utilities to see what info they gather from your system:

That'd be great if I were able to actually download anything on a government computer. Maybe I can download them at home and bring it in on a CD to see if those will work.

Thanks!
