Robert, welcome to these user forums.

You haven't given us very much information to work with here.

What version of Acronis True Image (ATI) was used to create the backup for your D: drive?
What version of ATI do you have installed - your subject says 2012, is this correct?
What Windows OS version are you running?
Where is the backup file stored?
Is your network drive visible in the same network as your computer system?

Assuming that you have ATI 2012 installed on a supported version of Windows, and the backup file was created by the same version and is available for access in Windows Explorer, then you should be able to simply double-click on the .TIB backup file to be able to explore the contents, or else be able to right-click on the .TIB file, then click on TrueImage then Mount and access the backup image via a drive letter.

If you can do the above then you can use Copy & Paste to copy data (files / folders) from the archive file to your Network drive location without having to go through a Restore (Recover files) process via the ATI GUI.

This is what I get when I click on the D: drive where my documents were stored:

Robert, from that single image it is still difficult to advise you - the image looks to perhaps be showing the contents of a hidden System Reserved partition which is normally sized at about 100MB and contains the information that Windows Vista and above need to boot, so just going by D: for the drive is not necessarily the same as the D: where your documents were originally stored.

I placed a check box in all my drive C:, D:. Previous backups have the D: data showing. So it should have also backed up the data drive (D:). So it appears that I do not have the information available to restore. This is absolutely disgusting, probably going to move to a different back up system that I can depend on.

Robert, sorry but if the backup doesn't contain the right data, then no-one here will be able to remedy this.

Do you have any other backup images of the same drive?

Unfortunately the previous back-ups are a couple years old so there is a lot of data that is apparently gone.

Have you checked all of your .TIB files for the most recent one holding your documents?
