Acronis True Image Home 2012 Plus Pack, Update 2, build 7119 interfears with Raxco PerfectDisk 12.5 "Boot Time Defrag".

Thread needs solution

Today I updated Acronis True Image Home 2012 Plus Pack to "Update 2" (build 7119) and noticed that this issue has not been resolved.

With Acronis True Image Home 2012 and Acronis True Image Home 2012 Plus Pack installed, Raxco PerfectDisk cannot run "Boot Time" defragments (of system files) on my external Western Digital "My Book" 1 Terabyte USB external disk drive.

PerfectDisk does not issue any error messages, it simply does not perform the boot time defragment on my external USB drive.

Until this build, Acronis True Image Home 2012 and/or Aconis True Image Home 2012 Plus Pack also interfeared with Windows Check Disk (chkdsk) also running on my USB drives unless checkdisk was done outside Windows (at boot time) or unless Acronis services were stopped. The latest build appears to have fixed the problems with Windows Check Disk, but not Raxco PerfectDisk Pro (version 12.5 and older).

Has anyone else run into the same issue and/or knows of a workaround to this issue?

Thank you.

I will notify Acronis regarding your post but I am having difficulty understanding

Raxco PerfectDisk cannot run "Boot Time" defragments (of system files) on my external Western Digital "My Book" 1 Terabyte USB external disk drive.

As the external drive is not your boot drive, what is being defragged or what data would warrant defragging on the external disk? If your external is the target for your backups, I would not defrag the disk anyway. Perhaps I am not understanding.
