Acronis True Image Home 2012 & Wiping A 3TB Hard Drive
A 3TB hard drive (SATA III) is not displayed when using Acronis True Image Home 2012 to wipe the drive. However, when you click on the link below the Wipe setting, I can't remember what the link is named off the top of my head, something like: View the state of hard drives, the drive appears and you can scroll through what looks to be all of the sectors.
Interestingly enough, Acronis Drive Cleanser version 11 does see the drive but only wipes a little more than 700 Gig while the rest of the drive remains untouched.
Anyone have any idea how I can get Acronis True Image Home 2012 to see the 3TB drive so that I can wipe all of it?
Any suggestions would be helpful and I thank you in advance.

This might be a limitation of your MB or BIOS. What MB brand/model are you using?
I believe the Seagate Disk Wizard software allows disks in excess of 2.2TB to be installed under windows which have these types of hardware addressing limitations.
Acronis offers and Extended Capacity Manager which does something similar. It allows space beyond 2.2TB to be addressed as a second disk in Disk Management.
Note: Again, keep in mind that your hardware/BIOS may not be fully compatible with these utilities or configuration.

Hi all,
I've had a rough time with 3TB GPT formatted drive ever since Acronis updated to the lastest version. NO PROBLEMS at all for the previous 4 months using this drive. It suddenly became corrupted & a backup OS with the older Acronis could see it fine.
