Acronis TrueImage 2015 doesn't execute

Thread needs solution

Good day!

I recently bought and downloaded Acronis TrueImage 2015 for my PC.

I am running a dual boot on a MacBook Pro, and running Acronis on Windows 8.1 home edition... for all that it matters.

When I downloaded and installed this software, it installed it to my program files in the C drive. I ran a complete back up of my entire PC, and have this saved in a share on a NAS I have at home. I edited my setting such that Acronis should run automatically, 5 minutes after I boot up my machine....however, this does not happen...ever. I have discovered that when I double click my desktop icon, or the short cut from the task bar, that windows asked permission to run the application...almost as if I am having to install it from scratch, but it isn't. What's the deal here? No other program I have running behaves this way. Is there a preference setting I need to make to get this program running automatically?

Thanks!

Mike

Mike,

Which build are you using, 5539 or 6055?

In the past Acronis was not supporting backing up Windows on Mac Machines, but now ATI is supporting Mac. So is the right approach to backup the entire Machine from OSX, and does it include the Windows installation in this case? Or is the right possible approach to backup Windows from the Windows version of ATI?

I am using build 6055. I just had an update to this build. After restarting my system, Acronis still doesn't launch automatically. I have a shortcut to the application on my desktop, and I have to double click it to launch the executable. I then get a Windows message asking me if I want to run this program. This is a pain in the ass. I just want Acronis to run, automatically, as I have it set up. I was automatic and incremental back ups, 5 minutes after turning on my system. What am I missing here? Is there a set up feature I need to turn on?

Thanks,

Mike

Ok, this is ridiculous. Why doesn't Acronis execute automatically at system start up? Why do I have to manually execute the program every time I want to use it? And now all I get for back ups are complete system back ups...not even the incremental back ups I set up in the settings.

Read this link in its entirety. The starting of the backup is possible via the shortcut or the Windows scheduler running the shortcut or the TrueImage scheduler.
