Acronis Virtual Disk Bus driver - how to remove??

Thread needs solution

Hi

I was looking at my 'devices and printers' under control panel, and I noticed another drive that had an error. I figured this was a virtual device created by Acronis and it appears to have an 'Acronis Virtual Disk Bus' driver.

I'd like to uninstall both the driver and the unknown device. I have already uninstalled Acronis, and have also used the additional system cleaner I found via your forums.

Can you please provide assistance?

Regards

Sam

Greetings,
Does this device also appear in Device Manager?

I'd try uninstalling it there, and right-click, Remove device from the Devices and Printers if it remains present after a reboot.

If this is a problem, reboot and try in Safe Mode.

Hi there

Unfortunately no, the device does not show up under Device Manager. I also tried 'showing hidden items' within device manager.

Unless of course the device is listed under something not so obvious...

Whats the next step then?

Regards

Sam
