Activation context generation failed

Thread needs solution

Ever since I installed the new Acronis True Image Home 2011 Plus Pack version I have had daily numerous event errors related to the SidebySide function in Windows 7.

The error is " Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\BartPE\Files\TrueImage.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.762" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis."

What is this error and how do I get rid of it......

Thanks for any consideration

Hello Roelof,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Acronis forum. I will certainly help you with resolving this issue.

This error is caused by the WinPE plug-in which uses a slightly different manifest than ATIH 2011. If you need to use WinPE you can ignore these messages. If you want them disabled, please use these instructions, it will temporarily disable the program's WinPE capabilities but you can always bring them back.

If you need additional help, please let me know.

Thank you.
