After 6029 Backup dies every night
A week ago i reloaded Vista Business 32 with SP2 onto a new disk. Installed all my application and installed TI 2010.
I have a nightly backup job running with finished without a problem.
4 days ago i downloaded and installed 6029 and now my nightly backup jobs crashes my PC every night.
There are no entries in any of the event logs.
Going through the Acronis log shows me that each job seem to crash the system when locking partition c:
The main Acronis task screen shows the task as completed sucessfully and the calendar shows a green flag as well.
Checking my backup directory there are no images created for the days the PC crashed (not that i expected any) based on the backup log.
Anybody has any idea what's happening and how to prevent it?
For the time being I am going to uninstall 2010 and reinstall it that i can get a backup done.
Gone back to 5055 and my nightly backup finished without a problem.
I sure was a bit surprised when I found the 6029 patch so soon after the new version roll-out.
It just seems like another example where "not ready" software is rolled out just because you have to get your new version out at a certain time of the year.
