After installing Build 6131, I keep getting prompted to install new version of Sync Agent
Today I installed build 6131, including the Plus Pack. Afterwards when I opened ATI, it prompted me to install a new version of Sync Agent. I did that. Then when I later opened ATI again, I was prompted to do an update again to Sync Agent. Now whenever I open ATI, I get this same prompt. This doesn't make sense to me. Can someone please help?

Same thing here on 3 different machines. The version flag is messed up.

I thought it was something wrong on my end, and came here looking for help.
needless to say, I am having the same issue. Keep getting the message a New version of Syn Agent is ready to install over and over.

Just for info purposes, did all of you use the auto update option to upgrade to 6131 or did any of you download the installer from your account and install?
A temporary workaround is to disable auto update.
If you don't use the syn option this service can also be disabled in Services.msc.

I downloaded the full install package from the support site. I get the annoyance too.

My earlier release of 2012 would not update so I had to do a clean install.
Yes, I have the same problem with SyncAgent wanting to update, tell it to do so, runs in a loop!

I would be careful about disabling SyncAgent in Services.msc. I disabled non-stop backup, SyncAgent, and Scheduler 2 Service in Services.msc. I could backup files, but they would not validate. If only non-stop backup service is disabled, I have been able to backup, validate and restore.

Does the SyncAgent service in this version still open 1 handle per second? I'll wait to update until I see people are no longer having issues with the version.

And I wonder if they fixed the sync bug where if you move a file out of one of the sync'd folders and put it back in, ATI will delete the file on both sides and it is lost. I doubt they did...

As strange as it may seem, I have disabled non-stop backup services only. I ran system cleanup in Acronis within Windows. I no longer get the messages that I need updated SynAgent or updated Acronis.

We are aware of the issue and will get it fixed in 15 minutes. The syncagent you receive is exactly the same provided with the build 6131. Please just ignore that message till we disable it on the update server.

Today, January 1, 2012, I am having the same problems, went to chat and was told to download build, still getting you have the new version... however my build is 5545 and it appears I need 6131 and now 6154. I cannot get them to install because it says I have new version.
I did try to download 6131 since 6154 gave me same message, I thought perhaps I should download 6131 first then 6154. No luck, same problem :(
I cannot get back into chat, I do not know if I can trust my backups now. I have been user for many years since version 6.

I just need a bit of clarification.
You had build 5545 and this was working OK?
You auto downloaded and installed build 6131, but the GUI still says you are using build 5545 and is continuing to say a new version is available, is that correct?
Had you previously applied the syncagent patch to build 5545? This might be causing the upgrade problem.
Are you downloading the complete installer file or allowing 2012 to 'auto upgrade'?
