Archive Is Corrupted Message Using TI Home VS 11

Thread needs solution

Running a backup operation without validation turned on is successful. If I turn on validation or if I run a manual validation the following error is returned: Operation with partition '0-0' was terminated. Details: The archive is corrupted (0x70020) Tag = 0xF5F8CBCF76155663.

I have uninstalled the product and reinstalled without any errors. When I explore the backup versions they appear to be fine and I can restore files. Does anyone know of a fix for this problem. Also, the program loads very slow. Takes over five minutes to load.

Hi Bill!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here.

Did you save the backup to the internal drive? (If not, please do it just for testing purposes and let us know the results). Did you create the backup with the help of the product within Windows or from the bootable media? Is the result different if you use bootable CD instead (backup from Windows instead)?

If the backup gets corrupted in Windows and work well from the boot CD, please send us Acronis Info from the problem machine.

If the other way - please get us Linux Report from the CD.

And I would also try the following if I were you:
Got to Start -> Run -> cmd
issue the following command:
chkdsk /f /r

Press Y when command line offers you to run the check next time the machine boots up, and reboot the machine. Upon booting it will check the drives for consistency and fix the errors if any.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you.
