Are partitions really backed up?

Thread needs solution

I have a file backup and a partitions back up running but:
The file backup shows "versions" and when it was last backed up.
The Partitions backup shows "not backed up yet" on the listing on the Backup and Recovery Screen and shows no versions or when backed up yet it says "The backup is valid." When I look at windows explorer for the backup drive, it shows several tib files (one marked full and the others inc).
My question is - Are partitions really backed up and are the petitions recoverable should the need arise.
How can I verify this.

The "not backed up yet" message is typical if your backups have all been run manually. The message is meant to conveyi that there have been no 'scheduled' backups run.

To test, you need to restore a few files--at the very least. Refer signature link3, item #5 inside that link. The #5 offers seveal methods of restoring minimal files.
