ATI 2009 and WIN7 ?
I have a Dell laptop with VISTA Business 32-bit, using ATI 2009. They work fine together, and have saved me from several disasters. I would like to upgrade to WIN7. However, I am not comfortable without a good backup. I have ATI 2011 available, which is NOT a good backup at this time based on my experience with my XP desktop and reports here. Maybe the next revision will do the trick.
I understand that TI 2009 is not fully compatible with WIN7. I don't need full compatibility. My normal backup procedure is to manually do a full backup image, and then depending on use, do a series of incremental images manually. I want to be able to restore the occasional individual file, and if needed do a full image recovery. I would even be willing to do this with the recovery CD. Is ATI 2009 "compatible" enough to do this?

Thanks for the input. With luck I can get a confirmation that 2009 works as well, though it should. Another option is to get 2010, which is still available in a few places. Interestingly, it is selling for about the same price as 2011. Guess the word is out. ;) When the time comes, before upgrading to WIN7 I will have a full backup, maybe two, of my old VISTA system, just in case.
