ATI 2010: No such script and Failed to process pair script

Thread needs solution

I am running ATI 2010 home on a PC running Windows 7 Home 64-bit.

Each day ATI 2010 is set up to run two scheduled backups, which it appears to do successfully. However a short while after it completes the two backups it seems to carry out another task (which i have nto specifically set up) and which appears as an error in the log file.

The error log contains 3 lines:
Error: No such script '938C....2261'
Warning: Failed to process pair script '938C...2261'
Error: Operation has completed with errors

(where 938C...2261 is a long character string beiginning and ending as indicated).

I have tried to carry out the operations as described in http://kb.acronis.com/content/1785, but when I try to execute the task unregistration I get an error in the CMD window 'Error: 1722 (0x6BA The RPC server is unavailable'

Can anybody please advise as to how I can remove these errors and stop this daily task from running (and failing)?

Many thanks

Have your tried:

In windows Explorer, move the backup files you want to keep to another location, then
In ATI delete the tasks -- this will also delete any backups in the associated directory (thus, the first step above).

Recreate the tasks taking care to view all the options, advanced options settings before saving the task.

IF this works, then, in Explorer, delete the old backups once they become obsolete for you.

Scott,

I'll try that. Question: The backups I am doing each day are incremental backups that are then consolidated every 5 days or so - would I have to consolidate them before moving and then deleting the originals?

Nah, just keep sets together (fulls with their related incs).
