ATI 2013 ftp connection fail on new pc only?!
hello,
I have ATI home 2013 running on multiple pcs and I make rescue media boot cd for each pc to restore an entire hdd if needed. on 1 pc, ftp connection works from boot cd and inside windows 7 x64. on my new pc, ftp connection DOESN'T work from boot cd and does inside windows 7 x64. I've tried both an IP and an address. What could be the issue on my new pc? I have an asus x99-e WS server motherboard and adjusted settings in bios w/o luck. I do know other things like virtual machines was disabled in bios and I had to enable it to use VM's inside windows but I don't see much more to enable as far as LAN connections or anything to do with ftp. any suggestions?

thanks for the response. even acronis true image 2015 for pc trial doesn't allow ftp on acronis rescue media. I have onboard intel 1218-LM and Intel 1210 gigabit Ethernet ports. I will check to see if there is a newer driver. I was doing a little research and found this: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc749311%28v=ws.10%29.aspx so is that a good info to follow? I'm wanting to use this method when I have to restore the entire main C: hdd image from boot media ftp. Would the WinPE disk be helpful on the new PC?

Yes, WinPE will support a much wider range of hardware thus lessening the possibility of error/failure. I have not attempted the method described in the link you provided but looks to be quite interesting. I did notice that the comments following the article point out some flaws in the method description so make sure you read those and follow the suggested fixes to achieve success. Post back with your results if you decide to give it a go.

acronis backup for windows server may be the solution as ftp works from the rescue media boot cd! i'll have to tinker it like everything else.
