ATIH 2011 H97 chipset

I just upgraded my motherboard to an MSI H97M-G43 and now I cannot run acronis backup from the boot CD. The loader works properly but when loading the actual acronis true image backup program it generates a long list of text before hanging on the text screen. It seems to do with the USB 3 on this new board (though I was under the impression that acronis 2011 supports usb 3), if I create the disk with the "nousb" parameter then the acronis program starts correctly although I cannot access it as both my mouse and keyboard are usb. I have tried the "nousb2" parameter to no avail and was wondering if anyone else has run into this situation or has any suggestions as to how to get acronis boot cd to work correctly with this board.
