ATIH 2011 - NonStop Backup doesn't work beyond initial setup
Hello,
I am running ATIH 2011 (Update 3 - Build 6942) on a Windows 7 Pro x64 machine and I'm trying to use the non-stop backup feature. I have a dedicated USB hard drive that I'm trying to backup to.
I can setup nonstop backup and and initial backup is made which all appears to be success. When I look in the ATIH everything appears fine and I'm offer to be able to restore files from the timeline.
However, following the next restart Nonstop appears to not be working correctly. When I look into ATIH whilst the Nonstop backup is listed there is no option to restore any longer.
Addtionally I'm not convinced that nonstop is even running any longer, as I don't see the Nonstop process running. It does initially pop-up when the laptop is started and announce that it is paused.
From within the ATIH interface I can click on the "start" button and it appears to start from the beginning again., however it doesnt' in reality appear to be doing anything and just sits there with "Time remaining: calculating..."
In my own attempts to resolve this I have delelted the nonstop backup and recreated it, and also uninstalled ATIH completely and then reinstalled it.
Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong/what is going wrong please?.

Can you post a screen shot of the log file, with the summary line expanded, to show the details of the non-stop backup, and in particular if there are any errors?

Here is what I think you mean by the "log file." I have had Acronis True Image for several years. I seemed to work better under Windows 7. I have never been able to get the Online Backup to work. Everything else requires much effort. This program should only be sold to IT types who are willing to spend the hours and hours to get it to work.

You are experiencing problems similar to what I have been encountering. Have you tried to raise a support ticket for the issue? It would be a good place to start.
In the mean time, you might search the 2013 forums in order to come up to speed on the issues reported to date with non-stop backup.
Let's see what Acronis responds with, and I'll update you further when I get a chance.
IMHO, TIH is quite a powerful program for what it costs. But as you point out, the more powerful functions it provides might really be more for IT professionals, but this is the "home" version!
