ATIH 2011 - "Prevent the computer from sleeping during the task execution" Resets After Backup Runs
I'm running ATIH 2011 Update 2 Build 6857, and ATIH 2011 Plus Pack Update 2 Build 6857 on Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit).
I noticed that when I check the "Prevent the computer from sleeping during the task execution" on either the backup schedule or in the validation settings, the checkbox gets cleared after I've saved the settings and a scheduled backup has run.
Are there some other settings that I should be looking at to see why this setting keeps getting reset?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Guys, thank you for your comments.
I've talked to the Development team and checked our internal resources: there are no known issue that would be matching your description with Acronis True Image Home 2011 Update 2. Thus the situation requires investigation. Could you please send us the screenshots of the issue and Acronis Info from the problem machine? This should help us to localize the cause.
Should you have any questions or concerns - let us know, we will be glad to help.
Thank you!

Running 2011 plus pack build 6857. I notice that acronis allows computer to go to sleep during a backup. The backup eventually fails to complete with error saying it cannot find the file unless I awake the computer manually and click on retry. If acronis is to prevent computer from sleeping then the powercfg windows command would show a request blocking sleep. On my machine there are no blocking requests.

This same thing has been brought up in other threads, but with the information that when the computer is rebooted or the service is restarted this option is reset to off. And I just verified it is doing the same thing in the latest version, ATI Home 2011 Plus Pack Update 2 build 6868.

This is Paul Keller.
It happened again to me. I now have screenshots before the issue and after the issue. I also have Acronis System Reports before the issue and after the issue. All screenshots and Acronis System Reports are of the same job.
I'm attaching a zip of all the files.
Thanks for your continued attention to this matter,
Paul

Did you get the files I attached to my last reply?

It's a pretty important feature to me as my backups are always being paused when my system goes to sleep.
I'm hoping someone from Acronis will respond and let me know if my expectation that this will be fixed in ATIH 2011 are realistic.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

I wonder if this is still problematic in ATI 2012...

As of today, with latest update to ATIH 2011, the "Prevent the computer from sleeping during the task execution" is still not fixed under version ATIH 2011, Update 3 (build 6942). When I reboot the system, this setting always resets to not being checked in the interface and my backups always get interrupted by the system going to sleep.
Pretty useless to me unless I always make sure to manually reset these settings on each one of my backups every time I reboot the system.
I'd consider upgrading if I could get confirmation that this was fixed in ATIH 2012, but until then, I'm not upgrading.

You didn't, by chance, apply a hotifix after updating to build 5942 did you? The reason I ask is because after upgrading to ATIH 2011 build 6942 I have verified the "prevent the computer from sleeping during the task execution" sticks after reboot. I have rebooted twice since updating and the option has remained checked. I have not yet been in a position to test whether or not this option actually WORKS though. But I have turned off my other work-around solution, running a batch file when the backup beings to disable shutdown and another afterwards to re-enable it. So we'll see how it goes.

Well, I just "double-checked" by checking to see if the "prevent the ...." was checked. It was. Then I rebooted. Checked again. It no longer was checked.
By the way, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit).
I'm curious about your question regarding a hotfix after upgrading to build 6942. Was there a hotfix released by Acronis after that. I'm not sure, but I do remember a hotfix being applied (by Acronis) after updating to build 9642. Again, I'm not sure.
Thanks much,
Paul

Hi all,
Unfortanately it didn't seem to work for me. As soon as I reboot the setting is gone!
Not another cent from me on Acronis products until this is fixed.
Cheers

Hi all,
Problem now solved with the new update. But need to download and install as 'repair'. Can't take credit. Here is the original post:
